I am new to these establishments so I find them rather fascinating. All of the books and figurines and of course the games. Mission had a wall of games for almost every occasion. For kids on road trips, for couples doing a mixed games night, some really basic, others fairly adult and of course the collector versions. I recall the giant pirate chest looking container that was the Settlers of Catan. Not for the weak of wallet either.
Well recently this games store moved after 15 years in their current location to a new one. An old restaurant called Krickets closed down on St. Albert trail and the Mission Games folks purchased the building. I can see why, it would give them a ton more space for inventory and their game tournaments. What I found cool though was how they transformed their building. Maybe it's kind of literal, but why the hell not! If that's your business then flaunt it. Here is a before and after picture. A local mural artist painted the building and here is a link to his site where you can see the progression.
They just opened for business and will be having a grand opening in October.
