In four hot spots around the globe, people live to 100 in great numbers. But it's not only about longevity—they live with strength, vitality and happiness. Residents of the blue zones regularly exercise, tend their gardens, are active members of their communities, eat delicious food and even have sex!
These zones are in places like Costa Rica and Sardinia.
Some of the things that they do are:
- Live in rural locations (no big cities for these folks)
- Grow and eat their own food
- Have few modern conveniences such as vehicles or technology (few to none)
- They do hard physical labor but not mentally stressful work
- Have close family and friendships
- They laugh, are positive and retain sexual appetites
Now I know we can't all live in remote mountain tops, but see if there are a few things you can check of this list to add to your quality of life.
