These Dreams

Some of the other bloggers in this challenge have been writing some of their goals/dreams. Shaun has shared some of his business and personal dreams, James his dreams of cooking better food and contributing to his families health. Brad has talked about his dream of moving back to Canada, being MIL free and an organization he will work with for a new career. Erron has a dream of self-sufficiency and Liam to write.

I have really learned a lot about all of you from your posts, your candid commentary and your opinions and humor.

My dreams are pretty simple. Be healthy, love and be loved and surround myself with things that make me smile. I rarely look back, and always look forward, and get excited about pretty small things in life. I am a "bit" older than most of the bloggers, but with age comes wisdom, a comfort in your own skin and the ability to to better filter what you do and don't want from life.

I am a homebody, I love to be home and take great pleasure in the garden, cooking something nice for Chad and I, cuddling the cats, watching TV and playing WOW. I don't have a ton of friends, but a few very close ones. I work with some incredible people in my IT job and we are like family. I am close to my parents and sister and am very fortunate to grow up with the family I had.

In the not too distant future I will quit the corporate world and work at Holes Greenhouse. They don't know it yet, but they will hire me : ) Their new greenhouse that opens in the fall will have a garden centre, spa, yoga studio, chocolate and wine store, bakery and restaurant!! OMG..those are all my favorite things.

Will they pay a lot less money than I make now? Hell ya! That's OK, I have worked very hard since age of 15 and I can easily live on less as we have little debt.  I may also volunteer at the Humane Society or the Wild bird sanctuary.

I don't want a bigger house or fancy vehicles, I want good health, lots of cheezy movie nights, lots of walks in the neighborhood with Chad and chocolate.

  2. That is awesome. As Erron has said I love knowing this about you as well. Your blog has really given me more insight about you. I checked out the site and that sounds like a pretty sweet place. I will check it out for sure. So that's in St.Albert?

  3. The new Holes is called the Enjoy Centre and it is 15 acres just north of 137th Ave on Ray Gibbons Drive. Lois Hole Prov Park and Big lake are across from it.

Jim Hole and family are building it and they are using state of the art greenhouses, re-claimed brick, new methods of saving power and water. Actually they wanted to use gray water from surrounding area but this is not legal in Alberta.

I think it will be a real destination, sell organic vegetables, focus on wellness and really embody the vision that the Hole family has.
